Introducing MC Coco P, the leader in Caribbean Entertainment

A home dedicated to the progression of the multitude of Caribbean Arts and Entertainment. Coco Payorl or Coco P as he is regularly known was born in Trinidad and Tobago. In the County of Victoria a place called Happy Hill Gasparillo. Over 150 years ago, Asians came to the Caribbean from India. Many settled in Trinidad as Indentured labourers. Slavery had ended and black freed slaves were working in better jobs, not in the sugar cane, or cocoa, or coffee or cotton industries as they did. There were gaps in the work force and the Colonial masters of the time devised a way to fill the gap with workers from India.

The descendant of Indentured Labourers, Coco P’s relatives are Indians, Africans, Caribs. Displaying the diversity of the Islands (Trinidad and Tobago) heritage. Against this backdrop of colourful cultures creating a unique brand on the world of Arts and Entertainment, this site will be the starting point in your quest to gain a better understanding of the Caribbean and its various peoples.

Coco P, a Storyteller and Poet himself offers from this site unique access to purveyors of the Culture. Storytellers, Poets, Soca Artistes, Calypsonians, Steel Pan Bands, Rapso Artistes, Drummers, Caribbean Leaders, Theatre Designers/Directors, Writers, Publishers, Lecturers in Caribbean Heritage, Chefs cooking Caribbean Food, Costume/Mas Designers, Masqueraders, Indian Caribbean and African Caribbean Dancers, DJ’s with Sound Systems and other types of Entertainment the Caribbean has to offer, here in the United Kingdom.

Offering information on Caribbean Events and Caribbean Styled Carnivals around the UK, this site will offer the opportunity to network, gather information, formulate ideas and get in touch with professionals who can work on any of your Caribbean projects.
